When a torso arrives at your door, it is the end of a process most buyers never see: weeks of material selection, sculpting, molding, hand-finishing, and inspection. Here is what actually happens between the product photos and the discreet shipping box.
Material selection comes first
Every doll starts as a decision about TPE. We specify the blend by weight and by the feel we want each model to have – a firmer outer skin for detail retention on faces and seams, a softer inner core for a lifelike body. The same sculpt rendered in a stiffer or softer blend feels like a completely different product, so the material brief is written before the mold is cut, not after.
Molding and hand-finishing
From the approved sculpt, a master mold is produced and each torso is cast in the chosen TPE. Casting alone does not make a product; the hours that matter are the hand-finishing pass. Detail lines are defined, painted features – brows, lashes, lips, and blush tones – are applied by hand, and each piece gets a sealing layer so those details survive regular cleaning. This is why two units of the same model can vary slightly: a human hand finished each one.
Every unit is inspected before it ships
Before boxing, every torso passes a documented hand-check. We look for surface defects, seam integrity at the hip and back joins, and any paint work that did not hold. A unit that fails is not shipped – it is recycled. It is slower than automated packing, but it is the step that keeps the difference between our half-body line and a mass-market import visible.
Discreet from the warehouse to your door
Finally, the doll is cleaned, powdered for transit, wrapped, and packed in unbranded packaging with no product details on the label. The outer box says nothing about what is inside. This is a promise we treat as seriously as the product itself – the discretion is part of the purchase, and our 2026 fulfillment notes (covered in the collection news) added a second hand-check before sealing.
